Haven’t written in a while. The cringe of having a blog to tend to is starting to catch up to me. Anyways, lately I been more focused on Miata things. I was invited to a track day and I went to a car show among other shenanigans.
My friend baited me into starting a carstagram because he thinks its EZ moneys. I thought maybe it could be like, a front to sell feet pics. Turns out it is neither, unless I start posting thirst traps, which I didn’t really want to do in the first place, so I guess there was a miscommunication there. So… let’s see where that goes I guess.

Car show: Heels and Wheels at Marconi Museum
Ok so me and a couple buddies went to Heels and Wheels and it was so fun. You can only go if you are a woman or come with a woman since it was a fundraiser for breast cancer. Most all the cars are women driven and I got to park in the lot! I meant to come as a spectator but when I RSVPed they said I can park in the lot, so that was cool.
They also served us a free drink from Rise Espresso Bar (lol if you read my thrift blog), and a free muffin (or two). They have all the cars park out in the lot, then inside is the regular museum stuff. It’s a really small and lowkey museum but they have a lot of super rare and unique cars. My parents took me there as a kid and I went back a few times when I was a teen, and in my early 20’s.
Here’s some pics of the event and stuff in the museum:

Miata teeth, other goodies
Oh, and right before this event, me and my buddy went to the car wash and washed the shiiiiiiiiiiii outta my car. I even added an Instagram sticker to it, which I got from Etsy, linked here. I also had just switched to some new locking lug nuts because the FAYS (fake Rays) I had were rusted all over. The new ones match the BBS wheels perfectly!!

I also removed the Laminx I had on the headlights and DRLs, because the headlights got foggy and I got tired of the yellow DRLs. Removing it was NOT easy though. Getting all that adhesive off was so hard, and you can’t really use adhesive remover on plastic so I had to go to TOWN with the rubbing alcohol and it look forever! HOWEVER, the headlights were pristine clean after I took it off. Lasted me like 4 years… maybe I should do it again?

If you are wondering what the teeth was all about, here’s that too. I got them from the shop linked here. I also got the cup holder on there too, which I really like.
I will say though, I lost a tooth on the freeway 🙁 so you really have to secure them in there.

Last of all I got this dash cam which, don’t get me wrong, is amazing and at a great price point, but I returned it because I realized it didn’t really fit on my dash because the car is so small and I also didn’t want to mount it to the windshield by the rear view mirror, since that would mean I’d have to route the wires all around. 🙁

My first track day
My friend invited me and my buddy to a track day because it was her brother’s birthday and he always celebrates it with a track day. I was so excited to try it. But tbh its not cheap. I think all things considered, I was like $400 deep but that’s fine because its not like I need to buy the tow hooks again.

We went with Speed Ventures as the host at Willow Springs Raceway and were at the Streets at Willow Springs track. Surprisingly beginner friendly. You get paired up with an instructor with a couple others and you follow them around the track to learn the lines for the first session. The second session, you get to learn how to pass other people with the instructor.
Overall, it was sososo fun and I want to go back again for sure.
Aight that’s all the yap I got in me for now,
Big J
